Designed to look like a cute little owl, the Echo Dot Kids fits right at home in your child's room. With Alexa built-in, they can use it as a companion to have fun with, streaming music from Amazn Music, Spotify, and other services, or having Alexa read them a story. The Echo Dot Kids can also help with their curiosity and learning, answering their endless questions about the world around them, or giving a helping hand with homework. Everything is designed to be safe, with built-in filters for explicit songs and parental access to privacy settings and the Amazn Parent Dashboard.

Parental Control

The Echo Dot Kids already filters out explicit songs and gives kid-friendly responses automatically, but parents have multiple ways of taking further control of how the Echo Dot Kids is used. Parents can use Alexa to access and personalize built-in privacy settings. Parents can also use the Amazn Parent Dashboard to set daily time limits and review activity in up to 4 child profiles.

Parent Interaction

Parents can remotely interact with their kids through the Echo Dot Kids. Mom or dad can ask Alexa to send a message to the Echo Dot Kids in their room, reminding them of chores or letting them know dinner's ready.

Kid Control

Kids can exert more control over their lives with features like asking Alexa to set their own alarms, remotely turning off smart lights, or calling a parent-approved list of friends, family, or emergency numbers. Kids can also take control of the Echo Dot Kids for more fun by customizing how Alexa sounds. Children can ask Alexa to be an owl or dragon, enjoying related character-inspired songs, jokes, and greetings.

1 Year of Amazn Kids+

Included is a free year of Amazn Kids+, a digital subscription service for kids aged 3 to 12 that gives access to kid-friendly Audible books, games, and educational content from popular brands, such as Barbie, Disney, and Nat Geo. Content can be used outside the Echo Dot on other Amazn devices, such as a Fire tablet or Fire TV.

Easy Setup

The setup is incredibly easy. Just plug the Echo Dot Kids into the wall and connect it to the internet via the Alexa app on your mobile device. All that's left is to create a profile for your child.

Eco-Friendly

Echo Dot Kids is made from 55% post-consumer recycled plastics and 100% post-consumer recycled polyester yarn, and it comes in 100% recyclable packaging. When left idle for too long, the Echo Dot will enter a low-power mode to conserve electricity. Please note that low-power mode may not function for all user configurations. You can actually track and manage the energy usage in the Alexa app. Amazn also goes beyond the Echo Dot and your home by actively working to build wind and solar farms to produce clean energy to offset the electricity it uses. Amazn offers Amazn Second Chance, which helps with trading in or recycling the Echo Dot down the road.
