12th Gen Intel Core Performance

The 12th Gen Intel Core i5 10-Core processor features performance cores that can be boosted up to 4.4 GHz to drive demanding applications while the efficiency cores handle background tasks and multitasking. The Surface Laptop 5 also includes 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD storage. The Surface Laptop 5 not only delivers performance, but can also handle your tasks with up to 18 hours of battery life on a single charge (battery life may vary depending on use).

13.5" PixelSense Touchscreen

The Surface Laptop 5 features the 13.5" PixelSense touchscreen. With a 2256 x 1504 resolution at 267 ppi and a 3:2 aspect ratio, the display provides a high-res experience. The display has a 1300:1 contrast ratio. With up to 400 nits of brightness, the display has Dolby Vision IQ support. The screen has 10-point touch support, allowing you to use your fingers. The screen supports sRGB and Vivid color profiles. Each display is individually color-calibrated.

Connectivity

Stay connected while on the go with Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) wireless connectivity. The Surface Laptop 5 features a 720p front-facing camera and dual far-field Studio microphones for video chats. The Surface Laptop 5 has Omnisonic speakers with Dolby Atmos support. You can also connect other peripherals and accessories with Bluetooth 5.2. There is also a Thunderbolt 4 port for up to 40 Gb/s of data throughput. Other connections include a USB-A port and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Thunderbolt 4

Thunderbolt 4 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB Type-C connector and features a maximum throughput of 40 Gb/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB4 at up to 20 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort allows you to connect either one 8K monitor or up to two 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single port.

Windows 11

Microsoft simplified the design and user experience with Windows 11. It has a modern, clean design with a New Start Menu position. Snap Layouts, Groups, and Desktops allow you to multitask with ease. Microsoft has also integrated some of their apps, such as Microsoft Teams. The redesigned Microsoft Store makes it easier to look for supported apps. Windows 11 Pro also has features specifically for business users, including Hyper-V virtualization, BitLocker disk encryption, and remote desktop access.

Microsoft Teams Integration

Stay connected with friends, family, co-workers, and clients with Microsoft Teams Chat integrated onto the Windows 11 taskbar. With a touch, you can connect to your contacts via text, voice, and video, regardless of whether they're using Windows, Android, or iOS devices. You can also communicate with those who don't have the Teams app installed using two-way SMS messaging.
